CUFF Bed

The Cuff bed by Bonaldo expresses its strong personality in the tailoring details: from the frog fastenings that adorn the two flaps which cover the padded headboard, to the pleating that marks the vertical pattern of the back panel cover.

The upholstery of the Cuff headboard is available to order in a range or fabric or leathers, and the painted metal feet are available in a range of colours. Cuff is also available to special order in the storage version (Cuff open) and double-movement mechanism version (Cuff easy open), please enquire.

  • Care instructions

We take great care to design and source high quality furniture, there are a few things for you to consider to keep it looking its best.

    Here are our top tips:

Be aware of the environment. Sunlight, heat sources, pets, humidity, etc. can all affect the performance and longevity of furniture. Selecting the right materials for the right setting will ensure yours is the right fit.

Keep it clean.  Light, regular cleaning will increase the lifespan of your furniture.

Protect your floor and protect your furniture with floor protectors, coasters, stain protection etc.  Heat and moisture are generally not furniture’s best friend so keep them separate where possible or ensure furniture is protected.

Stay centred.  Use the centre of the seat rather than the arms or back of sofas, for example, and don’t lean or rock on chairs and stools.

Our team will always be happy to answer any questions you may have about a particular item.

    DELIVERY & ASSEMBLY

When opening the packaging please take extreme care for personal and product safety. We recommend against the use of blades.

Having unpacked your furniture, check that it is complete and all parts are present. Please note, the feet for certain products may be found in the zip pocket underneath the suite. Ensure all fittings have been removed before disposing of packaging. Ensure children are supervised during unpacking and assembly of furniture and kept away from all hazards.

For ‘self-assembly’ furniture, read the assembly instructions before starting. Identify the parts of your furniture and follow the assembly sequence. Avoid use of force when assembling parts and be careful not to over tighten fittings during assembly. To avoid damage during assembly, use the appropriate tools and work on a surface covered by a protective layer.

    Installing your furniture

If assembling a product on its back or side, take care when turning the product over. Do not put excessive pressure on legs/base when turning as this may damage the structure of the product.

When positioning furniture items please do not drag them.  Items should be lifted from the bottom where possible. In rooms with delicate floors, consider additional protection under your furniture e.g. felt pads or glides.

Assembly and installation must be done in accordance with instructions. Failure to follow assembly instructions may result in poor performance of your product and/or void your warranty. If instructions are not followed, we decline any liability in the event of damage caused to people or property because of incorrect installation.

    MATTRESS CARE & MAINTENANCE

Before using the mattress, open all packaging in a well-ventilated room and leave uncovered (for 24 hours if possible). Due to materials used during production, there may be an odour from your mattress for several weeks. We would strongly recommend the use of a mattress protector on all mattresses. Occasionally vacuum the surface of your mattress to remove dust and let your mattress air regularly.

Always follow your manufacturer’s cleaning and care label instructions. If you spill something on your mattress, make sure you extract as much of the spill as possible – mattresses don’t dry out easily. You can stand it on its side to minimise the penetration of moisture and allow it to air dry away from direct heat.

    Body Signatures

These are the impressions the body makes on the surface or comfort layers of the mattress where the main weight of the body has been lying. Body Signatures are normal and indicate that the mattress is adapting and conforming to the body shape. Generally, a depth between 25-35mm is normal within the first 12 months. If the depth of the depression is greater than 40mm, further investigation may be required. These values may vary for plush mattresses due to the thickness of the comfort layers. The plusher the mattress, the more noticeable the Body Signature may be.

Please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions in relation to the rotation or turning of the mattress. Some mattresses need to be flipped while other mattresses need to be rotated head to toe. Ensure not to bend or roll your mattress. Bending or rolling your mattress will damage the spring unit. Sitting on the edge of your mattress for long periods can also affect its shape. Mattresses should be used on an appropriate supportive base or frame. Avoid placing a board between your mattress and your box spring - it can interfere with the supporting function of the box spring. Check that legs and castors are tightened fully from time to time.

Issues relating to comfort cannot be attributed to a manufacturing fault.

    Bed Centre Legs

On certain beds and most larger sizes, centre support legs are provided to prevent damage to your bed and add support. Without them, your bed will sag. Adjustable centre legs should not touch the ground, there should be a slight gap between the foot and the floor to allow for movement and to avoid damage to the centre leg if the bed is moved.

    Storage & Gas Lift Beds

For the safety of yourself and others, please ensure that

    • Only the handle is used when lifting and lowering the frame.
    • The mattress support is fully raised before accessing the storage space.
    • Children and pets are not left unattended when the frame is in the lifted position.
    • Assembly screws and piston arm are checked periodically to ensure they are secure.
    • Specific manufacturer assembly and care instructions are followed.

    • Before adjusting, make sure children and pets are clear of moving parts and are not under the bed base. Do not allow children or pets to play under the base.
    • Use caution with liquids in or around the base. In case of spillage, unplug the base.
    • Keep the bed in a flat position when not in use.
    • Store the remote safely and keep it away from children and pets. Children should only use this product under adult supervision.

    Fabric Care Tips

To maintain the appearance and condition of your fabric, it is useful to develop a regular maintenance routine.  We recommend vacuuming regularly with an upholstery attachment to remove dust.

    Do:

    • Treat spills and stains as soon as possible.
    • Gently scrape any soil from the surface of the fabric without scrubbing.
    • Apply recommended cleaning products strictly according to instructions.
    • Consider an annual professional clean to keep your upholstered furniture looking its best.

    Do not:

    • Saturate fabric with water or other cleaning liquids.
    • Machine wash cushion covers, unless confirmed the covers, are machine washable

Pilling is a normal occurrence for some fabrics and does not affect the durability or functionality of the fabric. It is important to note that pilling is not a fabric defect or fault and will reduce once the excess fibres are removed which can be done with a battery-operated pilling tool.

The surface of any fabric will wear; however, this should not be taken as an indication that the material is worn out.
